Rusty Sullivan - Modern/Cross Era, Draft, AIM, DH

Rusty Sullivan is designed to handle a Cross Era or All-Star type roster or league. These are very high quality leagues with lots of power hitters and high grade pitching, so it's probably wise to limit his usage for those leagues and not for a season or "normal" draft roster. Possibly, if you're in a high offensive league, Sully might be a good choice.

PITCHING

Starters - Not saved or set aside, you must bench them with f-file or with lineups or LM bench pitching rotation option.

Relief - Sully has a very aggressive relief strategy for pitchers with grades UNDER 20 and if you have a reliever with 18 or more saves and 18 or higher grade with high innings or a low relieving durability (2 or 1). Very aggressive. If after 5 innings, Sully's team is down by 3 runs or up by 4, this stud or high grade reliever will be used immediately to finish the game. Starters with 20 or higher grade will have a regular or normal relief strategy with these high grade relievers coming in if the starter is in trouble. But ANY starter under 20, will have this extremely quick hook used. Additionally, under 20 starters, if not in trouble (e.g., -3/+4 deficit/margin) will usually be permitted to pitch complete games. High grade starters of 20 or higher are given a quick hook once the game is secured. No setup relievers are used or one batter lefty specialists.

OFFENSE

- Steals are based on success/chance ratings, so steal rating is greatly considered but actual steals also taken into account (steals are based on 100% limits).

- Will aggressively H&R with 3 HRA rated players. Usually H&R against Z pitchers or with double play prone batters or those batters with low walk averages (BB/ABs under/equal to .100). Steal chance affects H&R (with runner on 3rd, higher chance needed than just with runner on first).

- Has a player specific H&R strategy - if a bench player with HR of 3 or higher and a base steal with 70 or more attempts is available, Sullivan will use these two players in a PH/PR situation in close games (-2/+2).

- Bunting is limited but might be more prevalent if assigned to a less power laden team. Remember, a "weak" hitter in a cross era league might be a solid hitter in a normal draft league. Actual SHs are considered when bunting along with BA, slugging and, of course, quality of the opposing pitcher.

- Will aggressively PH late when behind with runners on; will also PH to setup a H&R situation with a better hitter.

Bells and Whistles:

Blowout subbing, itchy relievers used but ONLY the high grade ones mentioned above (18 grade plus 18 or more saves).
